Insurance Excess
Insurance excess charges are payable on return of the hire vehicle if any damage has occurred. (Tyres, windscreen, keys and other items are not covered by the insurance excess).
Overhead damage is not covered by Adelphi Self Drive and is the full responsibility of the hirer.
Return of Vehicles
No vehicles should be returned out of opening hours. Vehicles returned in a dirty condition will be liable to a valeting charge.
Customer's Own Insurance
When customer's own insurance is used, cover must be comprehensive and appropriate insurance documents provided to Adelphi Self Drive before commencement of the hire. (If damage occurs whilst on customer's own insurance, the hirer is still liable to pay for the vehicle in full until it is returned in its original condition or full settlement of the vehicle value has been recovered by Adelphi Self Drive).
Extra Drivers
Extra drivers can be covered by Adelphi Self Drive at additional cost provided an insurance proposal form has been completed to Adelphi Self Drive regulations.
Times
1/2 day hire 9am to 12.30pm or 1pm to 4.30pm, Monday to Thursday only.
Overnight hires: 4.45pm to 8am next day, Monday to Thursday only.
1 day hire 9am to 8am next day.
Weekend hire: 4.45pm Friday to 8am Monday.
(All subject to availability and changes on Bank Holidays).
Deposit and Reservations
Vehicles will only be reserved by using an acceptable credit or debit card. We reserve the right to refuse or terminate any hire without prior notice.
Cancellations
All Cancellations are liable to the hire cost up to a maximum of 2 days hire charge of the vehicle booked.
Drivers Requirements
All drivers to be 25 to 70 years inclusive with a full U.K. licence, held for a minimum of 2 years. Any endorsement or foreign licences to be cleared with Adelphi Self Drive prior to
booking to avoid hire cancellation and incurring cancellation costs.
Main Land U.K.
Vehicles are valid for mainland U.K. use only. (Failure to comply will incur additional costs and possible prosecution).
